Suzuki Alto

Suzuki dealers will get the new Alto supermini model in March next year.

The new Alto will be the smallest model in the Suzuki range and is expected to sell 60,000 units in Europe in its first year of sales.

It comes with a Euro V compliant 1.0-litre petrol engine available with five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions and produces 103g/km of carbon dioxide emissions.

Suzuki has confirmed that standard safety equipment will include ESP and six airbags, but cannot confirm further details specific to the UK until closer to its launch in March.

The new Alto will be made at Maruti Suzuki's plant in India which will also be making a version of the car for Nissan which it will sell in Europe as the Pixo.
