Used car retailer PLC Trade Sales is giving a new scooter free to anyone who buys a car.

The dealership, at Workington near Carlisle, has bought an initial consignment of 10 Pulse Scout 49cc scooters, which retail at around £700.

Owner Percy Clarke said: "The car sales business is in the doldrums. We have recognised a massive change in needs, and after a lot of consideration we have decided on giving away a free scooter with selected cars."
