Accident management group Helphire has completed renegotiations of contracts with dealers.

The group reports that all but one of its major customers have agreed to new terms, which typically include purchase of vehicles and commission fees paid to dealers and insurers in exchange for referrals.

A pre-close trading statement this morning reveals that Helphire, like most automotive businesses, has begun cost-cutting measures including reducing its credit hire fleet and trimming administration costs.

It has also stepped up its litigation process for payments where cases cannot be settled amicably.
