Andy Rowe has taken up a new position as Fiat’s national business development manager.

He is sharing his former role as commercial director with managing director Andrew Humberstone. Fiat said the position will be filled in due course.

Rowe’s job move is an effect of Humberstone’s wish for renewed focus on dealer development.

As the carmaker’s most experienced senior executive and longest serving UK commercial director, Fiat said Rowe (pictured right) was the obvious choice for a key dealer development role.

A Fiat spokesman said: “Andy is now applying his considerable skills and vast experience in what we regard as the vitally important dealer development area, as a key part of our strategy. He continues to work with Andrew in the commercial area.”

Humberstone, who was appointed in November, is currently visiting all UK dealerships to forge better relations with the network.
