Vauxhall has finally revealed the first full images of its new Meriva concept ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

Vauxhall had already previewed the new model with the release of some artist sketches and shadowy concept pictures, but the first daylight shots have now been revealed.

The concept version of the Meriva contains future Vauxhall technology like FlexDoors which are expected to make it to production.

The new system features rear-hinged rear doors on both sides. While the front doors are conventionally designed with front hinges, the read doors swing open towards the back of the car.

The front and rear doors can also be opened independently of each other. Vauxhall says rear-hinged doors already on the market can only be opened after the front door has been opened, which limits practicality.
