Peugeot has appointed David Peel as its new fleet director and Steve Harris as its fleet operations manager for its Robins & Day retail network.

The appointments have been made to help strengthen Peugeot’s presence in fleet sector and increase corporate sales at its Robins and Day dealer network.

Peel will report to sales director Neil Moscrop, and is responsible for all fleet sales, Peugeot car and van rental, Peugeot contract hire and used vehicle operations.

Peel was previously the northern regional director for Peugeot and prior to that had 12 years experience as a dealer principal.

He replaces Harris, who will now report to Rick Cawley, chief executive of Robins & Day, in his new role as fleet operations manager for Peugeot’s dealer network.

Harris is tasked with improving the logistical efficiency of the fleet operations within the Robins & Day group.

Pierre Louis Colin, managing director of Peugeot UK, said: “Peugeot has a very strong fleet proposition for 2008 and the restructured team is at the heart of our plans to grow our penetration with expansion of the 308 and two new LCVs, in the corporate market at national and local levels.”
