The Academy Group has been appointed to the national Good Garage Scheme as part of its drive to increase customer service.

The garage, which offers vehicle sales, service and maintenance and accident repair to both private motorists and company car drivers, was put through its paces by inspectors from the scheme.

The Good Garage Scheme, which is run by Forte, is an online service, used by the public to search for a ‘good’ garage in their area.

Customers can leave feedback directly on the website and in the event of an unresolved complaint; The Good Garage Scheme will investigate. A garage which receives bad feedback faces being kicked off the scheme.

Paul Kuczera, service manager at Academy, which is in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, said: “The Good Garage Scheme inspector came in and looked at our customer service and training as well as equipment levels and spoke to our technicians to ensure that we were a ‘good garage’.

“By being appointed to and monitored by The Good Garage Scheme, our customers, new and existing have extra peace of mind.”
