Land Rover is introducing a commercial derivative to the Freelander 2 product line-up, which will showcase for the first time at the Commercial Vehicle Show in April.

Priced from £20,775 on the road, Freelander 2 Commercial will be available in S and XS versions. Specification matches the standard Freelander 2, but also includes floor supporting frame, fixed rear side glass and tail door and side window guards.

The XS model has 17" alloys, powerfold mirrors and front park distance control.

John Edwards, Land Rover managing director, said: "Since the launch of the Freelander 2 in November 2006, there has been a high demand for a commercial derivative from our customers and dealers.

"The Commercial offers supreme loadspace capability together with levels of ride, handling, comfort and equipmnet which will further re-define the compact 4x4 commercial segment."

It goes on sale in the UK this month.
