A recent case (English v Thomas Sanderson Blinds) fellow workers engaged in homophobic banter against a heterosexual man, who was known not to be gay, simply because he lived in Brighton and attended a boarding school.

The victim made a claim under the Sexual Orientation Regulations but his case was thrown out, as the facts didn’t fit the regulations.

Permission has been given to take it to the Court of Appeal, however.
