Ford Retail has been awarded Dealer Group of the Year for the second year running by Motability Operations, which manages the national Motability car scheme for disabled motorists.

Malcolm Tutton, Ford Retail Motability manager, said: “Winning the award is clear evidence that the skills and dedication of each of our Motability specialists has been recognised in ensuring our customers get the best from the Motability scheme.”

Presented at the 2008 annual Supplier Awards held on Friday 4th April, Ian Goswell, commercial services director of Motability Operations, said: “Building on their success of last year, Ford Retail fully deserve to win this top award for a second time.

“They have continued to show exemplary levels of passion and commitment to the Scheme which has contributed to Motability Operations’ business growth and high levels of customer satisfaction.”

Motability buys 7% of all new cars in the UK across 37 different manufacturers and over 3,000 makes and models are represented on the scheme. Cars are sold via 4,000 Motability accredited dealerships throughout the UK and Ireland, delivering motoring to over 470,000 disabled people in the UK.
