With consumer credit tightening, Citroen has extended its 0% finance offers across more than half of its model range.

The package is already popular with C4 Picasso buyers; 70% are sold with the 0% finance over three or four years, and the carmaker has found a similar trend with the new C5, launched earlier this month.

Customers could save £2,628.32 on a Grand C4 Picasso 1.6 HDi VTR+ compared a typical 13.1% APR loan from a high street bank, according to Citroen.

Tighter credit has also resulted in a 45% increase in the uptake of Citroen’s Elect 3 scheme this year. Available on more than 100 models, this allows customers to buy a new car for as little as £119 per month.
