The production line of the new Skoda Superb has started rolling in Kvasiny, Czech Republic.

Left-hand drive vehicles will be produced first with right-hand drive production following in July. Three petrol and three diesel engines will be available in the Superb from its UK launch in September.

Later this year, Superb assembly will also be introduced to new partner plants in India and Ukraine.

Speaking before the assembly lines started rolling, Horst Mühl, member of the board responsible for production and logistics at Skoda, said: "The new Superb brings a fresh outlook to vehicles in the mid to upper range and customers will undoubtedly be very enthusiastic.”
