Citroen’s C5 Tourer will go on sale in the UK on June 17 priced from £16,695.

The estate version features the same features, engines and options as its saloon counterpart.

Citroen isn't willing to give out sales estimates but is expecting the Tourer to account for nearly as many sales as the saloon version. It will be competing directly with the Volkswagen Passat, Ford Mondeo and Mazda 6.

At 4.83m long and 1.48m tall, the Tourer adds an additional 5cm and 3cm respectively over the saloon. Boot space is boosted to 505-litres and can be increased to 1,500-litres with the rear seats folded flat.

Just like the saloon the estate version is available with two petrol engines and four HDi diesel engines.

Every HDi unit is also fitted with Citroen’s diesel particulate filter system and can run on up to 30% biodiesel without modification.
