Sports car manufacturer Lotus has bought a British lightweight parts supplier in a multi-million pound deal.

Group Lotus has bought Holden Lightweight Structures, which has 120 employees at its Worcester site, and will rename it Lotus Lightweight Structures.

Sister company Holden Aluminium Technologies in Bromyard, Herefordshire, is unaffected by the sale, and will continue producing specialist aluminium car parts at its Linton Trading Estate plant.
