The group, headed by Mike Baldry, is the main sponsor of the Lincolnshire Throws Academy which is being run by the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership in conjunction with sports clubs across the county.
Capes said: “Somewhere in Lincolnshire there could be a potential Olympic athlete, and we want to find them.
“Along with the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership and Crystal Motor Group I am setting down a challenge - to find someone who can throw 20.12 metres. Putting this distance will guarantee them a place in the 2012 Olympic final.”
The County Challenge events will be held at six venues across Lincolnshire throughout July and August.
