Mazda is offering £1,500 free fuel on the CX-7 SUV and RX-8 coupe until the end of September.

The deal is available only to retail customers, and includes a credit card with the fuel contribution loaded onto it.

Both models are only available with petrol engines, the CX-7 returns 27.7mpg while the RX-8 returns between 25.2mpg and 26.7mpg on the combined cycle.

Based on June 2008 average prices for super unleaded petrol, the free fuel gives a theoretical range of 7,305 miles for the CX-7 and between 6,647 to 7,042 miles for the RX-8.
