The latest appointment makes eight new dealers for Isuzu this year and there are 11 “hot prospects” waiting in the wings, according to Isuzu brand manager Kenyon Neads.
Isuzu UK is well on the way to its target of 100 dealers with the latest taking it to 76.
Barry Curran, director at Barry Curran Motors, said: "We are very proud of our Izusu franchise and together with our 12 experienced staff, we look forward to enhancing sales potential with Isuzu, particularly with the agricultural and utility sector.” The Isuzu franchise will share a site with Curran's Subaru dealership. Curran also hold the Hyundai franchise at a seperate showroom on the island.
Neads said many dealers saw Isuzu as a “comfortable bolt-on to an existing franchise, with sensible set up costs and good aftersales and servicing opportunities”.
