The Czech government will be using Skoda Superbs for its EU presidency next year.

The Czech car manufacturer will provide 27 Superbs to transport members of government and delegates from other members from the EU countries.

The deal will also provide four Volkswagen Phaetons, four Audis and 40 Volkswagen Multivan vehicles for use during the Czech presidency of the EU which lasts from January until June 2009.

Skoda’s head of sales and marketing, Fred Kappler, said the deal would put the international spotlight on the new Superb while showcasing it to top EU representatives.
