Cadillac CTS-V

A Cadillac supercar priced from £56,495 will go on sale in the UK in February.

Jonathan Nash, Cadillac UK director said the car “represents the extreme extension of Cadillac’s current design language and its performance technology capabilities”.

He added: “The V-Series developments take the CTS launched last summer and elevate it to a position within the club of the world’s high-performance supersaloons.”

The left-hand drive CTS-V has a 6.2-litre V8 engine which does 0-60mph in 3.9secs and can reach 191mph.

It also holds the unofficial lap record for a production saloon (7mins 59.32secs) around the Nurburgring circuit.

Cadillac sold two units in December 2008, a drop of 50% on the previous year, where it sold four.

Its total volume for 2008 was 171 cars.
