Mazda has revealed the hatchback version of its Mazda3 which will go on sale throughout Europe this spring.

The design of the new Mazda3 beings it in line with the rest of the Mazda range and will feature the Japanese manufacturer’s new MZR-CD 2.2-litre turbo diesel.

Customers will also be able to choose from a 1.6-litre turbo diesel and two petrol engines in 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre guises.

Mazda hasn't set an official on sale date for the UK yet but is hoping the new Mazda3 will be in UK showrooms this summer.
