The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) has appointed its first MoT Chairman to represent the interests of RMI members with MoT testing facilities and negotiate with Government bodies on their behalf.
John Ball, managing director of MOTEST Autocare Centres has been appointed as MoT chairman.
RMI chief executive Rob Foulston said: “This new appointment will centralise and focus the RMI’s MoT activities. In the role of MoT Chairman, John Ball will have full authority from the RMI board to negotiate with VOSA’s chief executive on MoT issues.’
Ball will sit on the RMI’s Independent Garage Association (IGA) Executive Committee, and he will also chair the RMI’s MoT steering group.
