LDV's assets are to be sold to Chinese engineering company Eco Concept following weeks of negotiations.

The deal is likely to result in machinery and development moving to China.

The assets of the Birmingham van maker LDV are to be sold to a Chinese vehicle engineering firm, administrators have announced.

LDV went into administration on May 6 but production stopped last Christmas.

Simon Jennings, former managing director of Kayjay engineering, the company that used to make LDV parts, told the BBC: “"At this moment in time, we would be happy to do business with any new LDV company."
