Mini and Google acclaimed for brand strength

Car brand Mini and web firm Google were among top brands recognised by annual awards at The Marketing Society.

Mini received The Biggest Breakthrough award as members of the society agreed the design of the car has influenced every new car of the road today.

Google was hailed The Most Successful Brand in the Next 50 Years. The society said Google, launched in 1998, has played an incremental role in changing the way consumers seek out and make decisions about brands, and by placing the world’s information within reach of the consumer, the balance of power is moving gradually from brands towards their customers.
