Yorkshire-based dealer group Harratts is launching a new venture called Part Exchange Direct.

The scheme, which has created five jobs, will offer used cars direct to the public at auction prices at its forecourt in Darton near Barnsley.

With at least 40 cars in stock, Part Exchange Direct will offer used cars at trade price “without the stress of an auction” Harratts said.

Shaun Harratt, managing director of Harratts, said: “We are thrilled to launch Part Exchange Direct and create new jobs for the Yorkshire economy too. At a time when the industry is undergoing significant contraction, we are delighted to buck that trend and continue our expansion across the region.

“Hot on the heels of our new Honda dealership that opened last month, Part Exchange Direct at Darton promises to offer the very lowest prices to members of the public whilst still upholding the very highest standards of customer service that people have come to expect of Harratts.

He added: “Every single car we sell will come with a minimum three-month warranty, at least six months’ MOT and we welcome any make of car in part exchange, with trade prices guaranteed.

“Whilst we are a long-established, family-run business, we are keen to pioneer new ventures in the automotive trade and Part Exchange Direct promises to keep us at the very forefront of the used car market in the region.”
