National Tyres has extended its trial of Revive to offer its smart repair service to 35 branches following an initial pilot at a number of its sites.

The deal will see National Tyres customers able to get while-you-wait repairs done on things like bumper and alloy wheel scuffs.

National Tyres is planning to roll out the Revive smart repair service to the rest of its network during 2010.

Mike Garwood, project manager of National Tyres and Autocare, said: "Previous experience with the high cost of bodyshop repairs has led many customers to shy away from repairing minor scuffs, dents and scratches.

"It’s easy for our technicians to inspect vehicles for scuffs and scratches while doing a tyre check."

Revive is part of the working group currently setting the training standards for SMART repairers and is also used by Alfa Romeo, Mercedes, Fiat and Lex Autolease.
