Customer service standards at car dealerships shouldn’t be confined to new car buyers said used car hypermarket Carcraft.

The company said many nearly-new buyers are let down by poor quality cars and aftersales car.

Carcraft has launched a Five Star Promise which “will guarantee a level of service comparable to a new car dealership”.

This includes:
- Free parts and labour guarantee on all cars
- Free pre-sale mechanical inspection covering bodywork, engine, brakes and tyres.
- Free HPI check to protect the buyer against stolen vehicles, insurance write-offs or outstanding finance.
- Any car guaranteed to be taken as part exchange, whatever the age, make, model or condition

Marketing director Julia Phipps said: “We’re firmly on the side of the used car buyer.

“Whether you’re shopping online or in any of our 12 showrooms, you can rest assured you’ll receive the level of care and service you deserve.”
