Snap-on Diagnostics aims to broaden its offerings for motor repairers this year.

It has expanded its product range following requests for a complete package of workshop equipment in addition to the current offerings.

UK marketing manager Helen Taylor said: “This led us to recently complete a full review of Snap-on branded products currently available to the UK garage and workshop.

“As a result of this review we made the decision that from 2009 we want to be in a position to equip the full workshop, whatever its size.”

Although she declined to share growth targets, Taylor said incremental sales were expected.

Last year the company focused on diagnostic equipment for emissions checks, mostly aimed at MoT testing garages.

For 2009 Snap-on hopes to meet businesses’ wider requirements with its expanded range.

New products include five lifts, including models suitable for light commercial vehicles, two-wheel balancers, three tyre changers and two four-wheel laser alignment systems, either trolley or wall mounted.
