Sales of an iconic Volkswagen campervan imported by Danbury Motrocaravans have leapt 250% compared to the same period in 2008.
The family run business, based in Bristol, believes the jump in sales are due to people realising they are not getting a good return on their savings and therefore want to enjoy the money.
Danbury co-owner Jason Jones also said the campers don't depreciate in value like new cars, reports Sky News.
The company is the only UK importer of the new retro style Type 2 campers which are imported from Brazil and modernised by Danbury Motorcaravans.
They cost between £22,000 and £35,000.
