Lotus is opening a dealership at the Silverstone race circuit.
Work began in March to convert an existing unit at the motorsport venue, which is due to be ready by the start of June.

The outlet, will be owned and operated by Silverstone Circuits and cover a central zone, including Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.

Ultimate responsibility at board level for the business will lie with Ed Brookes, Silverstone Circuits’ director of finance and manufacturer relations and a former General Motors stalwart.

Brookes said: “The dealership will be selling new and used Lotus cars as well as other prestige brands. The technicians employed at the dealership specialise in the service and track preparation of not only Lotus models but all performance cars and we are confident that this will prove to be a popular element of the business moving forward.”

The circuit became home to a Porsche brand centre last year.
The dealerships form part of Silverstone’s diversification policy to develop the business and build income streams from outside of the core motor racing business.

General sales manager for the dealership will be Oliver Witshire.
