Pinewood is adding a vehicle health check tool to its Pinnacle dealer management system (DMS) as a free addition to the next upgrade of the software.

The Pinnacle VHC allows technicians to gather information about each vehicle reviewed in the workshop either on paper or direct on a workstation into the DMS.

Service desk staff are then prompted by Pinnacle to check with the vehicle’s owner whether the work identified by the technician can be carried out. If accepted, it is automatically added in the DMS to job cards and parts ordering.

The Pinnacle VHC links into manufacturer menu pricing and discounts agreed with account customers are automatically taken into consideration.

Pinewood is also adding integration functionality for its DMS systems to be used via an iPod Touch or similar handheld device.

The new VHC upgrade will happen automatically for dealers on the next update.
