Nissan is recalling 2.1 million vehicles globally due to an ignition problem which can lead to the engine to stall while running.

There are 83,777 models in the UK affected: all
Micra except for 31 Pathfinders. All were built between January 2004 and June 2006.

Globally, other models recalled include the Titan pickup, Tiida and the Infiniti QX56.

The majority of cars affected are in Japan and North America.

Nissan said there had been no reports of accidents caused by the fault and is inviting customers to take their vehicle in for the free 20 minute repair.
