Accident management company Britannia Accident Assist has gone bust.

The business, based in Manchester and with depots from Glasgow to Crawley, partnered with dealers and bodyshops.

Companies House shows its accounts filing is six months overdue.

The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) is offering advice for members owed money by Britannia.

Its bodyshop division has been in contact with Britannia's administrators and aims to act on behalf of members to streamline their claims process.

"Ultimately with the RMI acting as a central point through which members may focus their enquiry, such a collective voice will of course carry far greater weight in our future discussions with administrators," said Graham Threlfall, head of RMI Bodyshop.
