Opel/Vauxhall has contracted Fiat to supply it with a new small van from the end of 2011.
The model will replace the current Vauxhall Combo LCV, which will cease production in Q4 2011.
The replacement will be based on the same platform as the award-winning Fiat Doblo and built at the same plant in Bursa, Turkey.
It will carry the Vauxhall Combo name and will be offered in several derivatives, including panel vans, passenger vehicles and chassis cabs.
Sales will start in early 2012.
The project calls for an initial supply of up to 6,000 vehicles in 2011. The program is planned to cover the supply of at least 250,000 units.
