Aston Martin has attracted Hanno Kirner to its board from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Kirner, previously director of finance and IT at Rolls-Royce, has joined Aston's HQ at Gaydon as its chief financial officer.

Dr Ulrich Bez, Aston's CEO, said: “Hanno brings a broad range of experience at a global level in the luxury automotive industry and I am very pleased to welcome him to Aston Martin.

"Hanno will play a key role in helping us to continue to build and grow a strong, global and independent Aston Martin business in the future.”

Aston Martin recently confirmed it will put into production its Cygnet model, the brand's first luxury city car.
