For only the second time in three decades the Highlands is about to welcome a new Saab main dealer.

Inverness-based Ness Motors will take over the franchise for the north of Scotland after County Saab of Inverness relinquishes the dealership on December 31.

The marque will be sold from a shared showroom that currently houses Citroën and is a stone’s throw from Ness Motors’ Renault main dealership and service department.

Ness Motors’ managing director Chris Rankin said: “We’re delighted Saab will be joining our Renault and Citroën franchises at Inverness. Once it’s up and running Saab will be sold from its own showroom area in our new premises close to the main Renault complex and share the building with Citroën.”

County became the Highlands’ Saab dealer five years ago after taking over the former Caberfeidh Saab franchises.
