Volkswagen Insurance, the insurance arm of Volkswagen Financial Services, is partnering with Allianz Insurance for the provision of motor insurance to customers of cars and vans across the Volkswagen family.
It will provide complimentary seven-day drive-away insurance and annual motor insurance.
The complimentary seven-day product is introduced to customers by the dealer. It is an extension of the curent insurance deal offered by Volkswagen Insurance Service (VIS).
Annual motor insurance will also be promoted and sold to customers via new internet sites and telephone channels.
Telephone sales will be operated by Allianz.
Customers using the insurance who have an accident will be directed to VW approved repairers.
Robert Cottrell, head of insurance, said: "No one knows better how to repair a Volkswagen Group vehicle than the Volkswagen Group-approved paint and bodyshop network, therefore they are at the heart of our proposition.
"So when a customer does make a claim on our insurance we can guarantee that their vehicle will be returned to factory standards, making our insurance the best accessory a customer will ever own or use."
