Leicester Volvo and Alfa Romeo dealer Sturgess has invited customers and local antique enthusiasts into its showroom for a fund-raising event.

The event, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, included a presentation by Antiques Roadshow TV presenter Henry Sandon MBE on some of the high value finds of his career in the antique market.

More than 120 guests attended the evening, which raised £1,280 for the charity.

Chris Sturgess, managing director of Sturgess of Leicester, said: “We are delighted with the success of our first Antiques Evening and for the support it has received from the general public."

Sturgess hopes to make it an annual event.
