Automotive Management (AM) has developed a ground-breaking benchmarking programme which will enable dealers to measure their performance against the motor retail industry.
AM in partnership with apd have developed AutoTrax with the objective to improve the industry KPI reporting by taking performance-related data direct from franchised groups, non-franchised dealers and authorised repairers.
Autotrax enables comparisons of business performance against that of a consolidated average of comparable businesses providing an advantage to dealer groups who want to benchmark against best in class.
Leading members of the AM100 have shaped Autotrax to deliver timley comparisons of greatest value to dealers by brand, department or total group allowing dealer groups to identify areas of improvement.
Comparisons can be made in a number of ways, for example vs many industry sector averages such as franchised, non-franchised, new and used car volume, by car segment delivering real time performance data that can be advantageous to driving profits.
Dealers can make valid KPI performance comparisons across all disciplines of their business including F&I, Workshop and Parts, comparable to franchised and non-franchised workshop averages.
Autotrax offers a wide appeal of delivering overall sector KPIs rather than focussing on single manufacturer brand performance. For example benchmarking the average unit sales per sales person per annum on a particular brand vs an average KPI of sales per person across, say the premium brand sector will enable the dealer group to establish the level of performance.
Dealer groups are now working with AM to deliver independent benchmarking, measuring dealer performance vs dealer and manufacturer (all brands) averages.
Autotrax is not just about measuring internal KPI’s it enables dealer groups to establish which brands may be attractive now and in the future.
