Ford dealers in the UK have been allocated 650 units of a new performance orientated Fiesta S1600 priced at £16,665.

The new model is based on the Fiesta Zetec S but adds heated, stitched leather sports seats with standard side-airbags, leather steering wheel, handbrake cover and gearknob, plus motorsport-branded floor mats and scuff plates.

The exterior features a body-styling kit that includes a front bumper with flared lower valence panel, extended side skirts, large rear spoiler and rear diffuser, finished with 17-inch white alloy wheels (16-inch on diesel models).

The new model's special paint finish is available in ‘frozen white’ or ‘performance blue’, with contrasting motorsport stripes.

Customers can choose from two engines – the 1.6-litre 118bhp petrol or the 1.6-litre 93bhp diesel. An engine upgrade by Mountune is also available for customers that want better performance.
