Kia now uses the East Midlands Centre for Automotive Training (EMCAT) technical training facilities near Nottingham.

The Korean manufacturer will use the facilities to deliver a range of predominantly technical courses to approximately 350 technicians employed in the Kia UK dealer network.

The courses, usually two-days in duration, form part of the dealer support and standards programme.

Kia will have dedicated lecture room facilities adjoining a fully-equipped workshop. Every model from the Kia Motors range will be on hand at the centre for use by course delegates. EMCAT will also be operating Kia Motors’ new employee induction programme – “Welcome to Kia” – which covers all aspects of the Korean brand.

Eric Braham, EMCAT operations manager said: “Our facilities were purpose built to attract vehicle manufacturer clients along with their global brands.”

Ian Goswell, Kia Motors’ dealer training manager added: “During our initial discussions with EMCAT they not only showed that they had a superb facility that is conveniently located for our dealer network, but also demonstrated a commitment to high levels of customer service and a genuine passion and enthusiasm for what they do."
