Peugeot goes viral with RCZ

Peugeot is launching a new advertising campaign through a competition on Facebook to promote its new RCZ sports coupe.

The competition on Facebook works by running ads that look like classified car ads but actually feature ‘real’ people advertising themselves to the RCZ.

The best entrants will be picked to feature in an online advertising campaign for Peugeot UK.

Alongside the RCZ Facebook page, a micro-site has been created where entrants can create their own advertisement with the help of Facebook Connect.

Entrants will get an extra chance to win if they invite friends to participate as they enter the prize draw at

There will be a live draw on June 11 to choose a winner that will receive the RCZ as a prize. The RCZ goes on sale from May 21.

Andy Goodall, internet marketing manager at Peugeot UK, said: “The RCZ Facebook competition will engage the audience, keeping them interested and excited using street-casted online ads, viral videos, emails and then using online ads featuring real entrants among all entries to win the RCZ.”
