Audi’s new A1, a rival to the Mini, will go on sale late this year and dealers have started taking orders today.

The A1 will be priced between £13,145 and £18,280. It comes with three trim levels, SE, Sport and S Line, with the choice of a 1.2-litre TFSI, 1.4 TFSI petrol or 1.6 TDI diesel engine.

Standard features include engine start-stop function, energy recuperation, alloy wheels, air conditioning, single CD audio system with MP3 compatibility and ESP.
