A man has been jailed after he attacked a garage owner and told him he would burn all the cars in the workshop.

Masoud Shirazi at Kensington Motors in Bradford told customer Herris Zulffkar he would have to charge him for a part but would fit it for free.

But Zulffkar, a convicted drug dealer, lost his temper and told an accomplice to close the garage door, before attacking Shirazi and threatening to set fire to the place, Bradford Crown Court was told.

Zulffkhar, of  Heaton in Bradford, pleaded guilty to assaulting Shirazi and causing him actual bodily harm .

In mitigation his barrister, Tahir Khan, said Zulffkar was valued in the community for his voluntary work and the assault was “an isolated lapse on his part”.He acting spontaneously in temper and now regretted it.
