Family-owned dealer group Harratts has opened a new Peugeot dealership in Leeds creating 25 jobs.

Harratts announced in May that it was taking on the Leeds territory.

The new dealership is located on Scott Hall Road next to the motor group’s existing Volvo franchise.

The site in Leeds will now be one of the largest operated by Harratts.

Heading up the dealership will be general manager, Terry Bramley, who has nearly 35 years’ experience working for Harratts and who also oversees the motor group’s other Peugeot dealership in Barnsley.

Shaun Harratt, managing director of Harratts, said: “We already have a very successful Peugeot dealership in Barnsley so it is a natural progression for us to open this city centre site in Leeds.”

The motor group, which operates dealerships across Yorkshire selling manufacturers including Volvo, Honda, Peugeot, Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi, also recently announced that sales at its Huddersfield and Barnsley dealerships had doubled sales for new cars over the past year.
