Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has sold its 15,000th Crafter van in the UK to Heateam, the heating and hot water specialist division of the Baxi Group.

The Crafter is one of 48 ordered as part of the Baxi Group’s ongoing vehicle replacement programme to update Heateam’s current fleet of Volkswagen LT32 vans.

Supplied by Listers Volkswagen Van Centre in Coventry, the Crafters are fitted with specially designed racking and Heateam’s domestic heating engineers will each cover an average of 20,000 miles per annum providing service and technical backup to customers throughout the UK.

The Crafter replaced the LT range in 2006 and is the largest in the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles van range. It offers gross vehicle weights from 3,000 kg to 5,000 kg, payloads from 936 kg to 2,528 kg, and load volumes of up to 17.0 m³.
