British motorists would spend their lottery winnings on a British-built luxury car rather than a German or Italian brand.
A survey by Lloyds TSB revealed that more British drivers dream of owning an Aston Martin, followed by a Jaguar.
In third place was BMW, followed by Audi and Mercedes-Benz, then Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce and Bugatti.
One in five of the 1,000 adults polled believe they will one day own their dream car.
Two in three are already saving up to own it, while the remainer hope to use a cash windfall or inheritance to make their purchase.
More than half of those surveyed said if they came into money they would spend up to £50,000, while one in eight would spend £75,000.
According to Lloyds TSB around a quarter of all personal loan applications in the UK are to buy a new car.
Three out of every four loan applications were from those aged over 40.
