Lipscomb Group, a Kent based three showroom multi-franchise dealer, has signed up to a website which allows customers to book service slots at a discounted rate when it has excess capacity.
The group hopes the deal with www.maindealerdiscount.com will help grow its aftersales business with customers outside the traditional warranty period.
Barry Wilson, Lipscomb Group aftersales director , said: “We’ll offer great deals on servicing with the convenience of full online booking.
“We intend to sign all our dealerships and have started with Volvo, Fiat and Abarth. It’s another marketing channel for us and one that has proven (with other dealer groups) to tap into the price conscious three year car parc market.”
Main Dealer Discount provides a website through which authorised main dealerships can sell their excess servicing/workshop capacity directly to customers at short notice.
Dealers retain control allowing them to adjust their rates according to availability and age of vehicle.
