Accident management group Helphire has announced several positions on its board.

Since it downsized its business, cutting debts from £348m to £134m in the past two years, it has altered the composition and cost of its board more in line with its current size and needs.

Richard Rose stepped down as executive chairman last month, ahead of former non-executive director Avril Palmer-Baunack's appointment as non-executive chairman.

Non-executive directors Lord Howard, Andrew Cripps and Steve Barber have stood down.

Stephen Oakley was appointed to the permanent chief financial officer role on October 18.

Simon Poulton has been appointed a non-executive director, a fortnight after ending his previous four-month role as the company's interim chief financial officer.

The board also confirmed that Martin Ward has become chief executive officer.
