Nissan GB has appointed six more of its dealers as specialists in its Leaf electric vehicle.

This latest phase of expansion, following the Leaf’s launch earlier this year, brings the number of Nissan EV dealers up to 32.

The new dealerships joining the network are Holdcroft Nissan in Stoke, Macklin Motors in Glasgow, Trenton in Hull, WLMG in Reading, WLMG in Mill Hill and Wessex Garages in Bristol.

These new dealers will be the first in the UK to install the new, smaller quick chargers, which are currently under development, in early 2012.
They are already equipped with a twin-head Podpoint charging post and a 16A charging unit, meaning all EV owners can top up their charge when visiting the dealership.

All the new EV retailers will have a fully trained EV relationship manager who will act as a single point of contact for Leaf customers.

The managers have been put through an intensive training programme to understand all aspects of owning and driving the 100% electric car and will be able to assist Nissan Leaf customers with any queries.
