Nissan has created a 95g/km CO2 version of its Micra, made possible by a new 1.2-litre direct injection gasoline-supercharger petrol engine. Nissan Micra DIG-S

The three-cylinder Micra DIG-S creates the same amount of power as a conventional 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 95bhp, a top speed of 112mph, yet returns 68.9mpg in the manual Visia trim version.

The new model is exempt from the daily London congestion charge.

The Micra DIG-S will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show on March 3 with sales starting in the UK this summer. Prices will be revealed closer to the on sale date.
